Q.   How do I volunteer or be a counselor?

          A.  Counselors are the "front line" leaders in building relationships with the campers
and pointing them to a relationship with Jesus Christ. While we provide training and support, you
need to be able to express your own faith in a relevant way, be comfortable with small group
settings as this is the primary spiritual tool of a week at camp, and willing to work and play hard
for a week! The rest of the "duties" - like falling in love with your group, being overwhelmed at the
work of the Holy Spirit in your own life as well as your group, and surviving the long hours of a
week at camp will fall into place on their own!!!

Counselors simply need the approval of their home church and be able to ascribe to the
statement of beliefs found here. Simply let us know your interest, (see the registration page, pul
l down menu) and we'll provide training either in person with your group or with a DVD
presentation you can follow.

From time to time we also need kitchen help, simple maintenance help, and weekend help
between groups to handle trash removal, grass mowing, and other clean-up jobs. If these
opportunities are more in line with your schedule and gifts, please ask what our needs are.
Those needs vary from week to week, so please ask! Email us, or phone us with your ideas!

Schedule your youth group or adult group for a service project at camp - painting,
raking, new construction...it's all available and a great way to help support camp, share
fellowship, and "get outdoors"!

Contact information for each of the groups that send campers is also important.
We can communicate with that person, and know that the information will be distributed in
a timely and thorough manner.
